Almost over - week 1

Another day comes to an end.  This was the last teaching day of the week, with programs to be done tomorrow.  My class is singing the Oscar Meyer hotdog song and acting out restaurant scenes.  One group is going to Two Guys Grill and one is going to Snoopy's Hot Dogs (Raleigh).  They have had fun deciding what to order and how to be a host.  

Today we found out that we will not be teaching at the same school next week.  We are now going to be a "traveling show" going to many classes over the next week.  Chinese change their plans way more than I do.

We saw the most bizarre thing this morning getting ready for work.  The construction workers outside our rooms were setting off fireworks!  I got great video.  Will share it when I get home :)  

Some more dumplings for dinner - the vegetarian kind.  Actually found some Smirnoff's at Walmart - first thing I have had to pay the equivalent $ to US.  Go figure - 

Tomorrow brings end of the week party with our Chinese teacher assistants and a day of sight seeing.  Have I mentioned the Chinese bathrooms?
